Following on from a recent post about being proud of how far you’ve come, we also have to look to the future and decide what we want to do with the rest of our life.

I have one piece of advice for this: you have to THINK BIG.

We only have one life, and there is no certainty that it’ll be ninety years long. Ask yourself what you want to make out of your life. Do you just want to get by? Or do you want to lead an incredible life, with incredible people, achieving incredible things? I hope your answer is the latter.

It is easy to think that we were just born to die. In the matter-of-fact way, that is true. However, as soon as you start to believe that life is so much more than that, you will live a wonderful life, no matter if that’s ninety years or twenty. You have to change your mindset. You can dwell on life being short and there not being much point and give zero effort. Or you can think big and do all the things you want to do and become someone who matters to others.

We have a duty to ourselves to live our lives to the fullest. We also have a duty to do this for those people who didn’t get chance to. We are so fortunate to be alive, and it’s sad that some people pass away before they get a chance to make a mark on the world. Keep this in mind the next time you start to think ‘what’s the point in all this?’. Hold some perspective and remember that not everyone gets a choice in life.

Make something out of your life. As I said above, THINK BIG! You get no do-overs in this world. You have one life to live, so live it to its highest capability.

If you don’t think you can or you don’t deserve it, think again. We are all deserving of a great life, despite what may have happened in the past and who you think you are. I know you. I know you are brilliant. So keep pushing forward and let’s do this!
