It’s officially a brand new year, and you know what that means? It’s time to create a new vision board to help accomplish all your goals!
I know what you might be thinking: “Ellie, isn’t that super corny and does it ever work?” Well, if one of your New Years’ Resolutions is to become more open-minded (and if you’re on your self-discovery journey, like reading this blog post for instance, it probably will be), you might want to give this a try.
Each year I create a new vision board – well, it’s more of my laptop screensaver. There’s no “cringe” or “corniness” about it for me; creating a vision board simply helps me align with my goals. Plus, it’s an easy reminder of those goals too.
The question is, how do you do it? Well, it’s easier than you might think…
How to create your vision board for 2025
Figure out your goals
The most important step is the first one: it’s time to write down those goals of yours! Grab your journal or the notes app on your phone and start bullet pointing everything you want to achieve in 2025. It can be something big or something small. Here’s some of mine which you might want to steal:
- Clear skin – my acne has been playing up for the latter half of this year so it’s time I start taking care of it!
- Moving out – I’m super excited for this one, as I’ve been wanting to do it for a while
- A big focus on wellness – I don’t mean exercise, but I do mean more self-care, journaling, podcast walks, reading…
- Relapse prevention (and weight gain) – need I say more?
- Success at work and in my personal brand and business – super super exciting things happening soon!
Head over to Pinterest
You can either use Pinterest, Pexels, Canva, or even your own images. Start to search for things that align with your goals, be it gym, a new hobby, relationships, spending time with friends… there’s always photos out there! Save them to your computer for use in a little while.
Find some helpful affirmations or quotes
Also doable on the platforms I mentioned above (or just use textboxes when it comes to putting it all together). Look for those quotes that are going to help motivate you. Here are some of my fave (and yes, there are some cringe ones, but the cornier the better here!):
- New year, new goals
- Do it for your future self
- Creating the life of my dreams
- It’s your year
- It’s time to move on and up in the world
- Focus all your energy on yourself
- (And my favourite) Boss bitch energy
Stick it all together
Use an easy platform to make a collage, like Canva, PowerPoint, Publisher, or even the phone app ones like the oldie, PicCollage. Import all the photos and quotes and arrange in whatever way works for you! If you scroll up, my vision board is at the top of this page for inspiration
Make sure you use it!
Although vision boards can make pretty desktop backgrounds or posters in your room, ensure that you refer back to it every once in a while. You’re not going to get there by pure manifestation, hope and luck. You’ll have to put the work in too.
Go after your goals, chase them, hunt them down. Visualising them in this way is going to be a huge help along the way! Let’s smash 2025 and make it the best year yet!
